Buerhle or Eaton? Stats are W's,ERA,and WHIP only?

I'm a huge Buehrle fan but there is no arguing that PETCO is good for pitchers. If he can keep pitching to the Dodgers and avoid the D-Backs Eaton should be great. I pick Eaton.

I like Eaton better because he has much higher upside. Beurhle strikes out very few hitters, and his ERA and WHIP are at best mediocre, so he is essentially a 1 category (wins) pitcher, and fairly overrated in fantasy terms.

Plus Buerhle will have too many games with the Offensive Juggernaut that is the Detroit Tigers.

Sorry, I just gotta throw that into any thread whenever I can. Not trying to knock the tigers, just trying to lift my jaw off the floor.

well buehrle seems to not be as good as he was in 01-02 when he was like 17+ wins per season and a 3.5ish era guy.

eaton hasn't done anything great yet, but he consistently has had less than 1H/IP throughout his young career... with the petco factor and a pretty good offense in SD, not to mention being in a division without a bonafide offensive juggernaught (bonds doesnt make the giants that, tho he is quite impressive) i think eaton could have a better year.

buehrle could prolly win 15 again this year, i like the way the whitesox look thus far... but at the same time, yargh, eaton's #s show him as having pitched better than buehrle, and i think the odds are better for him to spin 1-2 run games on the W side than buehrle on a fairly consistent basis.

id go with Eaton also.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
