I think you have to let it go. No arguing one team is getting the better deal. What is the thinking behind the deal from the team that is giving up too much? Maybe you should ask for an explanation before you decide. I just hate vetoes and they can get out of hand if you aren't careful.

I've said this so many times I'm going to put it in my signature.

Only veto trades in the case of collusion. Assuming adults are involved, of course.

My sentiment exactly.

I would veto it. I don't care if both owners are sane, if it's unfair in my opinion, it's getting vetoed.

Team B gets Luis Gonzalez, Chavez, Steve Finley, and Trachsel.

Is this worthy of a veto?

How many teams in the league?

If it's 10 or 12, then Finley and Trachsel are pretty easily replaced and that makes the deal: Thome/Glaus/Mulder for Gonzalez/Chavez and it looks awful.

If it's a bigger league, then maybe it would work, but that's a big maybe.

I'd absolutely hate to let that go through, but it really is borderline to me so I'd probably let it pass even though I find it pretty ridiculous.

I would never want to be in a league with you. I have some great friends that I think make stupid trades, and vice versa. People value players differently--for you to take your opinions and foist them on to your leaguemates is unfair.

From what you say, the only trades you'll approve are ones that you'd make--from both sides. That's silly.

Id let the trade go through, its unfair but like someone mentioned earlier as long as theres no collusion there is no reason to veto it.If theres no collusion then why veto this???? maybe he really likes one of the players in the trade and wants him on his team, but whatever the reason as long as theres no collusion then theres no reason to veto it.

you all know me...and 99% of the time I only say veto incase of collusion and roster dumping.....but I am going to jump in one more time on the side of vetoing it...

I think this trade disrupts the competitive balance of the league. That's why I think it's vetoable....

This is the reason....we all admit the trade is unfair....and we know that it is a veteran player trying to take advantage of a rookie...sure, a rookie needs to learn by making mistakes...but a trade that is this far off...sometimes...the we need to step in and help the rookie...
