Thoughts on basestealer Endy Chavez...

Postby Eaglez » Tue May 04, 2004 2:24 am

What do you guys think of him? Do you think he will start for the rest of the year and provide your team with contributions similiar to a Alex Sanchez but less avg?

So maybe a .250-.260 avg 60-75 runs 2-3 HR 40 rbi and around 25-30+ steals ASSUMING he plays all year?

Is that a decent projection for him? He had like 4 steals just last week...

He couldn't ask for a more opportune time to solidify himself. None of the Expos outfielders are doing much of anything. Players will start shifting around and become more competitive if and when Everett and Johnson come back. According to Rotoworld, Chavez was hitting .344 in Triple A before being called up. So it's really a matter of whether or not he starts hitting consistently. Just a wait and see kind of deal...

I hope so because I sure could use him in one of my leagues. ;-D

what about Willie Harris of the White Sox, as a 2B it might be easier to fit this base stealer into your lineup
