Yahoo League DL

Postby Amazinz » Sat May 08, 2004 11:30 am

I commish a private H2H league on Yahoo. On of the team's players came off DL today and his roster becomes locked until the player is taken off the DL. I was under the impression that the DL lock prevented waivers, FAs and trades only. It also prevents you from shuffling your roster.

He dropped a player but the player drop doesn't go through until tommorow (or tonight at 3am). So he can't remove the player from the DL and is unable to fill holes in his roster for today.

Is anyone aware of a way that I can circumvent this to allow him to adjust his roster today? Any help is appreciated.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

First I've ever heard of that happening. :-?

Normally when a player comes off the DL, the team can still make roster moves, but no pickups or trades until the DL'd player is taken off the DL. Odd........ :-?

I've never heard of a lock-up like that either.

He should still be able to move players around in his roster, but the player taken off of the DL won't be able to play until tomorrow.

When you drop a player, he stays on your team until the next day, even though he shows up on the waiver wire right away. So until the next day you can't take any players off of the DL because their are no empty roster spots.

This was the impression I was under. But this was not the case for this one team. No one else in the league has mentioned a problem so it may have been a bug. I wrote Yahoo but as always they never replied. The problem cleared itself up the next day when the drop went through so it isn't a huge deal.
