Better Producer This Year: Smoltz or Cordero?

Now there's a question I never thought I'd ask -- but I'm going to be trading one of these guys soon and I'm not sure which one to send packing.

Don't get me wrong. Smoltz is a great pitcher. But thelack of S opportunties early bout of Gopheritis, the fact that the Braves aren't keeping him active between rare S opps combined with his injury history make me wonder if he isn't a better trade candidate than Cordero this year.

I suspect other owners will consider them of near equal value.

Who would you keep.

This is the key, frankly. If they think of Smotlz as the Smoltz of years past, then trade him, and get an ace. If they think Cordero is the real deal, then trade him.

Tenatively, I'd say keep Smoltz... but I'm a tad worried.
I'm back. Sorta.

I have the same worries. But not about the save chances cause ive gone through Smoltz dry spells even in one of his 50+ save seasons but the fact the guy has looked dominating very few times has me concerned a little bit

Could agree more with your position one vetos ;-D
