Urbina has a better hold on the job but I would want Valverde.

As a avid detroit fan I would have to say valverde, if you check Detroits record over the last couple of weeks you would realize they haven't done anything and Urbina got the loss earlier this week. Valverde is firmly entrenched in the closer role and is on a team with decent pitching.

I guess, you're right, Pogo, if you can bear with Valverde when he loses the job in a month.

Mark my words. They will give Mantei a chance again, and he'll get it going again, and then they will trade him.

Valverde will be racking up saves come August, either way, in my humble opinion.

I think Mantei will get the job back when he is healthy, but only to showcase him, so they can deal him. I've never been a big Urbina fan so I might be a little biased.
