Personal catchers

I think having Varitek (which I don't) can be a nice advantage, seeing that if you have room on your roster you can carry a back up catcher and start him whenever Wakefield pitches seeing that Mirabelli(sp?) always catches him.

Does anyone know, are there any of catchers who have a situation like this where you would know exactly when they sit?

I think maddux has his own catcher too. Can't remember the name top of my head though.

Miguel Batista used to have a personal catcher when he was down here in Arizona, but I don't know if he still does that.

Id be interested in a listing of who catches who in Mil. as well. I know Moeller and Bennett usually catch the same guys.

Moeller was in the doghouse by the end of last season. I'm trying to recall if Randy was still using him, but I know Schilling was done with him. Moeller's best asset is his offense. I don't know if there's anyone on the Brewers' staff who is particular like Schilling is.

Horacio Ramirez has Eddie Perez. :-B
