Thanks for that reassurance BigM! I put him in for tonight since I'm still unsure of Tejada's status. Let hope his little breakout holds up for a few games.

Purely speculation but Kaz seems to have really responded to being removed from the leadoff spot those last two days. I bet he steals a base tonight if he gets on. Or at least tries, lol. ;-D
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

He has been hitting the ball hard the last few days. I just picked him up off of waviers...I was very happy to get him. It has to be a HUGE adjustment changing cultures the way he did, especially going to New York! I think he will settle in, get to know the league and the pitchers and have a nice season. It is way too early to give up on him!

I had him in the lineup tonight... very pleased.

A week of this, and Womack will be gone.
I'm back. Sorta.

I've held on to him. He has been my starter all year (have reyes on DL). Hoping he breaks out big now.

Al those doubles are exactly what a smart person would have predicted would happen. Smaller US parks and better US pitching will mean that a lot if not most of his HRs will turn into doubles. I will still be shocked if he surpasses 15 HRs.

Bold talk a month and a half into the season and after watching him struggle.

Except that I have been saying this since he was signed while everyone else was getting all excited about him. Do a search.

Don't think that I am so smart though, I had Contreras AND Riske on my team.
