Vlad went in the second round in my 12 man league.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

10-team roto league - #6 overall
12-team H2H league - #11 overall*

*I picked #7 and almost picked him but I went with Soriano. Helton was also on the board (went #10). I was kicking myself because I could have taken Beltran and then gotten Kent later. Kent didn't go until #59 overall.

I picked him 2nd. It was between him and Garciaparra.

He went fourth in my league.

Is now a good time to point out that at this time last year, Millwood was a lock to win the Cy Young?

I don't doubt Beltran is a stud, but I don't see him keeping this up all year.
I'm back. Sorta.

Lucky for me I had him ranked #2 behind Soriano. In my competitve league he went 4th when I had the 11th pick. In the Yahoo leagues (which I can not seriously call competitive) I was able to get him at 7th, 6th, and (you have to be kidding me) 12th. Of course the same league I got him 12th, I got Vlad at 13th. Enough for me to call this my first and only year of Yahoo play.

Well pre-season I could see Helton and Prior going before him.
I wonder if trev still thinks Beltran isn't a 1st round pick? :-]

I can see the argument for prior and helton, I didn't realyl see it that way. being able to take care of five categories with one slot is such and advtantage. I like helton a lot, and would maybe put him ahead. i guess going in I had high hopes for beltran. Had him last year and saw how helpful he was. I guess I would rather take a little less in each cat but have five of them, than to dominate three cats, do well in the fourth and be blank in the fifth -- because then you have to make a compensatory move (like cheap speed or power or something) and take the hit in another category, so then you need to account for that too.

prior I wouldn't have because I thought they over pitched hims pecifically last year, and I don't like to draft pitchers before the stud hitters. I got burned on that with schilling last year.
