That was the worst part of it. You could tell the announcers were trying to jinx him from about the mid-5th on. Every pitch, every batter "Johnson now 10 outs from a perfect game!"

Homers as announcers are annoying as hell to me. Too bad you have to get an ESPN game to get a somewhat impartial call.

Yeah, I'm only impressed by the 81 pitch, 27 strikeout perfect games... you know, the ones where no one even fouls a pitch off. Go do that Unit, and I'll be impressed... ;-)

i am so tempted to start a "is it now time to trade randy johnson?" thread in the FBT forum.... but I think I'll hold off.

Some guy in my 20 team league made fun of me for picking RJ in the 4th round, telling me "it's not the 90's anymore". Also, he mocked my picks of Clemens and Schmidt (I got both of those guys cheap too - allowing me to take top notch hitters in the early rounds). His staff is anchored by Kip Wells, and he claims his depth - 9 below average SPs - will help him win the league.

What ever will I do with 3 of the best pitchers in baseball, on my 20 team league :-? ................... B-)

Thanks RJ ;-D Keep on truckin'!!!

you expect to get impartial announcers from the station that is owned by the guy who owns the braves? If im watching the cubs game, I want Stone and Carey to be happy the Cubs are winning, not impartial. They are broadcasting for the home team, they should support it. They are broadcasting the games for BRAVES fans.
