He's put out two excellent starts....who is he? is he a hyped prospect? seems to have done well in his first taste of the majors.
The Reds might stink, but I'm still a fan!

Cabrera is a really big dude...6'7", 230 or so. Was very highly regarded prior to last season, one in which his stock dipped. 5-9, 4.24 at Delmarva (SAL) and had awful control (125 IP, 78 BB). Mid-90 fastball, hard slider...Loewen and Maine are the two best pitching prospects in the Baltimore organization. Cabrera is in the next group and projects as a 2/3 starter in the bigs.

He's clearly now ahead of schedule with these two starts, so his stock is rising with a bullet. But I would not get excited about him just yet. He faced a White Sox lineup that was short in the DH last week, and the Mariners are beyond abysmal offensively at this point. He'll face the Angels next and my guess is he'll get nailed. Keep him in mind for down the road, but don't go for him now.
