YOU GUYS STILL WANNA DROP JETER??

Postby Lofunzo » Tue Jun 01, 2004 10:05 pm

I'll admit that people are crazy if they put him up there with A-Rod and Tejada but he is a lot better as a SS option in FB than most. For those of you who waited him out, I salute you. ;-D

As do I. Jeter's hitting the crap out of the ball. Good sight to see. ;-D

I did not draft Jeter in any league this year but I now own him in several. Got him on the cheap. ;-D
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I picked him up a few weeks ago, right before he broke out of his slump. But just traded him away to get Helton for him and Thomas.. Not bad for a free agent!

You have no idea how much crap I took for defending him about 3 weeks ago. Looks like I am just beginning to see the fruits of my labor :-D

That is funny. You don't have to be a Yankee fan to know that he is a good fantasy SS, though. ;-)

Since May, he is hitting .276 with 15 R, 4 HR, 18 RBI, and 4 SB. That's up to the minute pending a 9th inning AB. I would agree that he needs to sustain it, though.

I tried to get him cheap but couldn't. Oh well, it probably wouldn't be good to have him on my team anyway. :-°
I'm back. Sorta.
