If it is true, how much value does Boone have now?

Zito is God wrote:As a Cleveland fan I am very surprised. I don't really see the point, while I don't consider Blake as playing well I expected Shapiro to be fully commited to the process of rebuilding rather then signing a 32-year-old (I believe). Also then pen needs more work then the hitting, the Sox game made me sick. :-t

So all of this Zito stuff has been a front?? 8-o :-D

So i say about 60 percent of things that get posted on fan forums are false.

It's the day after, nothing has been even posted as a rumor on ESPN.com, MLB.com or Rotoworld, and it doesn't make any sense as to why Cleveland would sign him anyways. I think this is a false alarm.

This is the latest on CBS Sportslines Team page on the Indians:
The Plain Dealer reported Indians GM Mark Shapiro recently met with free-agent third baseman Aaron Boone, who's recovering from surgery on his left knee. "We're one of about seven or eight teams that are interested in Boone," Shapiro said. "Aaron wanted to meet every club face to face." Los Angeles, Anaheim, Boston and Atlanta reportedly also are interested in Boone. (updated: 06/18/2004)

On a side note i just noticed that this is my 1,000th post....my initial reaction was that i spend too much time here but i realized that i literally am only at less than 5% of Madison so that makes me feel better! ;-D
