I really thought the right-hand friendly confines in Arlington would mean fantasy gold for Soriano, but this has become a long waiting game. I have to think that sticking is the way to go - his trade value is low (as he's clearly not who he was) and hitting third in that lineup and that park SHOULD mean wrecking-crew stats for him. This is in liue of shopping him as I hope and believe he can hit 25 hrs from here on out.

Especially since Vlad was taken next in my league and I could have depended on Loretta or Mike Young to be my 2nd baseman :~(

I feel your pain.

Before the season, I traded ARod and Thome for Rolen, GA, Soriano and Kaz. Thought I got an amazing deal :-t !+)

his avg is on track..

its his power and steals that hes been slumpping in..

sori has always been an up and down hitter.. he has 9 hrs right now..
being a yankee fan i remember cursing him to death after a 3 hr month then wanting to name all my future kids soriano after a 12 hr month. its just the way he is.. if you look at his #s right now hes still would be picked in the top 3 to 4 rounds,, with one sori-like month his numbers will be on par. remember he hits his in bunches not clumps..

as far as the steals .. hes the man in that lineup,, hes not running in tex.. sorry..

i wish i was in a league with all the sori giver-uppers.. id love to trade you jose mesa or overbay for him.. soriano will own the second half. ;-D

A big part of the problem is he has nobody batting behind him. He's not the kind of guy that is going to turn that into a lot of walks, instead he's swinging at 'pitch around' style pitches more and you just can't drive those for HR's. If Teix ever turns it around to give him some protection things may change.
