Even if he doesnt close, he is still the best RP that isnt a closer to have on your team. Scott Shields also comes close!

Lidge is good, but he is no gagne, that is ridiculous.

batters are hitting .184 against him and he is on pace for 146 K's....now I am not saying he is going to be in the same level as Gagne, but those numbers are Gagne-like

I just picked him up in my money league. The problem is, I have only 1 bench hitter right now and like 5 bench pitchers. My closers are now Smoltz, Hoffman, Urbina, Herges and Lidge. I'm going to try to trade Smoltz and possibly Brian Giles for Beltran. He should be much better in Houston. ;-D

I missed out in the chance in my main league about a month ago. This guy has like 4 RP that dont even close and now he gets lucky.
I owned him in 2 public leagyes and just picked him up in a third. Maybe I will try to trade for him before this guy realizes hes gonna close.

Who would be the primary 8th inning guy, or the guy who takes over lidges place? Or are they just gonna use whoever matches up best or is the freshest? Is there gonna be a specific guy that sets up for lidge in the 9th?
