What Can We Expect from Keith Foulke in the 2nd Half?

The 1.14 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 3.56 K/BB ratio are all fantastic stats. But 13 saves? I know the Red Sox are great and tend to win by more than a few runs, but is this guy "overvalued" for this year simply because he won't see the necessary save opps to rack up big save numbers? Or will he see more in the 2nd half?

No. Everyone said that about Rivera because the Yankees were supposed to be blowing teams away and giving him no save opps. but he has had heaps of chances and leads the AL.

The second half that could change and Foulke may get all the opps. and Rivera stuff all. Luck plays a huge part in all of this.

If Foulke has lost value because of his limited chances then it is time to buy low on him. It is possible he may get more than 30 chances from here on in and convert them all he is that good.

It is impossible to predict how many chances foulke will get for Saves. IT is all luck. HE could get 30 more saves from here on out he can get 15, there is no way to predict. THe one thing is that he is still a top Closer and if you can buy low on him than do it.
