Armas
Lohse
Zambrano
Ainsworth
Lilly
Rodriguez
Foppert

Armas v. Lohse is close. Zambrano because he's got a real nice staff around him. The Cubs could win some games. Lilly's talented but inconsistent. Foppert last because he doesn't have a definite rotation spot and will be #5 when he does have one.

Just jumping in here, but according to above list if someone (not naming any names) were to have Lilly on their team and Ainsworth and C. Zambrano were FAs, an exchange would be in order? Hypothetical question. :*)
It's time to roll the dice.

Arm-ass wins best new body part for a name

Lohse wins best oxymoronish last name

Zambrano wins best "name that Sounds like a wine"

Ainsworth wins best new slang word last name...."He ainsworth a damn thang."

Lilly wins best "bullies took my lunch money in preschool" name

Rodriguez wins most common name no white guy can spell.

Foppert wins Jim Henson name of the year.

Not much help but hey....maybe it entertained you a little

Right now, I'd rank 'em

Lohse
Ainsworth (incredible run support in SF bumps him up here)
Armas
Lilly
Rodriquez
Zambrano (not buying it yet)
Foppert

But if Foppert is as good as billed, and he can earn a permanent spot in the SF rotation, Foppert has the stuff to jump to the top of the list real quick.

i hate ranking players arbitrarily amongst themselves, so allow me to say i think these pitchers will be good:

tony armas jr (~on pace for a nice 3.5ish era campaign, solid # of strikeouts [175-200?] and maybe 15 wins)

zambrano (walks his fair share of batters, but doesn't give up too many hits. can punch out batters too... a full season might be about 180K)

let's see what ricardo rodriguez does against the sox tonight against one of their aces, bartolo colon. much like runlevys hernandez's start against the sox the other night, i am interested to see how he does against the strong, but admittedly slumping, sox lineup.

I would put Armas 1st, but if Foppert stays in rotation he could jump to 1st or 2nd.

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...
Anytime you have a 50-50 pick between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong!
