Dustin Hermanson - closer?

Postby EricF » Sun Aug 08, 2004 11:23 pm

Hermanson got his first save for the Giants tonight. Looked pretty good, striking out Sosa, but then again, Sosa hasn't hit anything lately. Is Hermanson in and Herges out?

OK, guys, my bad. I haven't been in the market for a closer, with only one spot to move up in the saves category. Since it was his first save, I thought it was something new. I guess he hasn't had opportunities since getting the job.

his actually been dominant while converting in the closers role.. though this is his first save app. his last 4.1ip had his stats looking like this: 4.1ip 4k 0bb 0h 0.00era 0.00whip .. id say his been pretty dominant since converting to a closer ;-D

He got a little lucky last night, did you see that catch Mohr made, I believe if that dropped it wouldve tied the game. Then he probably wouldve gotten the win. I dont think the runner was his anyways.

Correct. That was an inherited runner. Bummer is, I'd have been better off with the blown save and then a win. I needed the W more than the save !+).
