Keeper League question

Postby Pablo975 » Sun Sep 19, 2004 8:56 am

I'm currently running a 12 team roto keeper league on Yahoo. My question is: How will I input everyones keepers from 04 into the system for the 05 draft?

I know you can submit your info to Yahoo for a whole league, but we need to utilize their draft software, as many managers are long distance.

My thought was to have everyone just select their 8 keepers with their first 8 picks, but if ONE mistake is made, it screws up everything......

Any ideas?

All of my keepers do an off line draft either in a yahoo group or on the message board and then input them manually...other than that, the only way I know to "live draft" keepers is to have everyone draft their own keepers in the first rounds... :-?

That is how my league does it. Make sure everyone pre-ranks their keepers. If someone screws up you can always lock their team until they trade the player back to the rightful owner.

Real keeper leagues are not run on Yahoo.

Hehe, my friend says they have to leave an open roster spot if they draft a minor leaguer in his Yahoo keeper. Then, once that player comes up, everyone needs to remember who claimed ownership of that player way back when.

Because a keeper league is a huge commitment, I would not want to trust limited software with everything that my owner group has put on the line.

why not? Just cause Yahoo is free doesnt mean its worse. Sure, you dont get all the extra analysis tools, but thats what this place is for, right?
