Cleveland pitcher shot!

Postby Randy Watson » Thu Sep 30, 2004 1:50 pm

Kyle Denney was shot in the calf while riding the team bus to the airport last night in KC. He was apparently saved from serious injury because he was wearing white knee high white boots as part of a cheerleaders outfit. I am not kidding!

Swain said all of Cleveland's rookies were dressed in cheerleader outfits as part of an annual ritual -- Denney's choice was Southern California --

Lmao! :-b

The bullet didn't lodge very far into Denney's leg, and trainers were able to remove it before he went to the hospital.

Doesn't sound too bad. Odd incident though and glad to hear that he's not seriously hurt. ;-D

I wonder if Kaz Tadano got to wear his old cheerleader outfit from his previous job in Japan. I hope they had enough seats so nobody had to sit on his lap :-o

A little surprised this didn't get more attention........

Maybe the headline should read:
