I'm not sure, I do remember Frank Howard (The Washington Monument) hit 48 dingers there one year. He was a monster though at 6'7" 255

Homeruns

Year Senators Howard

1968......124......44
1969......148......48
1970......138......44

Here is a link to the park data

The dimensions seem to make it more of a pitchers park comparing it to other parks in the NL (Dodger Stadium, Petco)

There's no guarantee that they would use the same dimensions as before, though.

I imagine they'll want as many seats as possible..... thsi could limit foul territory which is often a big factor in parks being hitters or pitchers park. A ton of foul territory means pop fouls are caught more often.

True, I never thought of that.

They shouldn't need to add any more seats if they draw like they did in Montreal/Puerto Rico. :-D

i'm not from DC, but i heard it's a tough city to sell sports... yet they are projecting 10 times more revenue than in montreal. no one went to the games in PR cuz the tickets were so damn expensive.

the dimensions are definetly something to be considered though, fantasy wise

Well it is a football stadium so they should have plenty of seats already for baseball, shouldn't need to add more. All you have to do is look at Marlins stadium, since they have the same type of thing in Miami with them playing in a football stadium.

It's mainly going to come down to how they build it when it comes to next year.
