Is this guy ever gonna get his $%#* together? I have him on my bench but all the blister problems last year and now his mediocre start to this year...I'm itchin to drop him for another SP and I just noticed that Byung-Hyun Kim is available.

Should I grab Kim or someone else? Or is beckett gonna be a great pitcher later in the season?

I don't think he's been all that bad this year; he has a 3.81 ERA through 4 starts with around 10 K/9 innings. He does have a shaky WHIP so far, but the help in the K's is probably worth it and I don't think he's performing any worse than expected.

i guess i really need the wins so the fact that he has had trouble getting wins so far got me trigger happy...i'll hold on to him.

But should i figure out a way to Kim or Looper?

The wins might be problematic for him because he is on a so-so team that will likely only go .500 or so. He should give lots of K's though.

I'd keep Beckett.

I can sympathize with not getting the wins. I'm hurting there too. Beckett isn't going to get you much more than about 10 wins, mostly he pads your K totals and a serviceable 4th or 5th starter. Hopefully you got 3 guys who should get you 15+ wins, and the rest of your staff you hope for the best.

In short, I wouldn't put lack of wins on Beckett's shoulders. He'll get his, and hopefully the rest of our staff's can start picking up the pace a bit while others slow down.

Is Looper available as a free agent? I'm not sure that I'd drop any of your players for him, but that's pretty tempting.

Is there an innings pitched limit in your league? You've got a lot of starters. You might consider trading one of them for a closer. Russ Ortiz might be worth moving. See if you can get someone like Scott Williamson for him. He'll pitch well this year and end up with a decent number of saves, but be underrated because he's pitching for a bad team.

Nice team, by the way. How big is your league?
