How much will the year's layoff affect him? You'd think it would take him a while to get back to normal. He might be a bargin if you wanted to stick with him until he gets back in the groove. I'm guessing his stolen bases will be affected most..

i'm not sure he'll play in more then 130 games this year but he's definitely worth a bench spot. I still think he'll get double digit SBs. With today's advanced surgery techniques he should bounce back pretty much to normal but with occasional time off throughout the year to help him get into playing shape.

hes going to be the start at 3rd for the time being. the only way i see him being benched and not playing 140 or so games is if he re-injures himself, or completely sucks, in which case casey blake will find himself back at the hot corner, which really wouldnt bother me much. im not much of a boone fan.
