They say he worked hard this winter and his back is ready. What do you think? Can he get 25 plus HRs and 100 plus RBIs, 85 Runs

i think he'll get hurt by July.

that said, $3 on his isn't necessarily a bad idea. i mean, he could stay healthy, and if so he'll be a nice value at that price. ;-)

I've burnt myself on him too many times. There are a lot of safer options at 1b. If I'd end up ith him on my team I'd hope for a hot start and deal him by June.

I got stuck with him for $4 as a backup CI guy. If he plays the whole year, I got a huge bargain, but methinks he won't do that. If he plays 120-130 games though, I should be good.

Sweeney's 2005 Stat Line:
.311 BA, 31 Homers, 103 RBI's, 38 Doubles, 5 SB's, 86 Runs

He will be the 6th Ranked 1st basemen at the end of the year.

I'm actually banking on him to get traded, and be a factor for a contending team. So if come June he's getting ready to come back from an injury, pick him up or trade garbage for him and get a nice midseason acqusition.

well in a snake draft, i got him in the 20th round out of 12 teams and IMO thats good value for him cuz he could produce big, but i do have to agree hes a bum and theres only a slight chance hell return to his old self

Im predicting Sweeney to play 150 games and get back to his 144 rbi form and lead that Royals to the World Series :-D
then i wake up and say Sweeney will have some freak injury by May and be fed up and asked to get traded but because of his huge contract he will just be dead weight!
