After Pujols and ARod

Postby ScurvyDog » Sat Feb 26, 2005 3:40 pm

Who do you take in a straight draft (10 team, 5x5) as the #3 pick after the two bi dogs are gone.

Vladdy, Beltran, Helton, Bonds, RJ, Tejada?

I'm thinking of grabbing Tejada? Bad move? SS is SO scarce.

I guess Vlad is the pick? Beltran?

UGH - wish I was picking 9th!

I would say vladdy then beltran, I would actually pick Vlad over A-rod, and possibly over pujols, VLAD is an asbsoulute STUD.

well i would personally take Vlad ahead of Arod so i wouldnt be so sure those are the first two picks unless you know for sure thats who they are taking or if its already happened. Anyways id definitely take Vlad, dont need to worry about position scarcity this early in the draft and vlad is much better than beltran. SS isnt exactly SOOOO scarce this year, theres plenty of decent guys down the list that you can get after the top ones(i.e. Tejada, Jeter, Young, Renteria, Furcal, Rollins) theres guys like Greene, Crosby, Izturis, Lugo, etc. that can all produce nicely for you this year

There are 4 guys who I could all see going number one -- Beltran, Vlad, A-rod, and Pujols. A-rod i think is actually the worst of the four. With the #3 pick, I'd go after Vlad (assuming Pujols is gone). If Vlad is gone, then take Beltran.

Thanks guys - just started the draft online - we are waiting for #2 - Pujols went first and the rumor is the #2 owner will be siked because he loves Arod - so I'm oing Vladdy.

If he goes Vladdy, I was going to take Beltran - does everyone agree? Or do I take ARod in that case?

Sorry - I know there has been a lot of discussion on this, but I'm in auction leagues. Just decided at the last minute to join this snake draft league. A lot of pressre at the #3 pick! UGH
