ok i think we all agree on escobar, colon and carpenter being in the top 4...

greinke is still unproven.. hell if we are ranking zack we might as well rank jeff francis right there with him...

lilly should be dead last on everyone's list..

lieber.. who knows. veteran on a faithless philly team... only pitcher i really really trust there is wolf.. and mayb ea late round flyer on padilla

wade miller.. been great been hurt.. been bad.. which one shows up? same with weaver...

garcia and benson i also couple together.. altought i think garcia will be a 13 game winner and benson only 10ish

as far as millwood - i think he's going to win games this year.. he'll produce a sub 4 era and get the job done.. so i rank him higher than maybe most people

i don't think greinke can really be considered unproven. while he is very young he has proven to have tremendous control which has proven over time to provide more consistency than pitchers with more velocity/stuff.

Okay, this is the way I see it...

1. Colon= proven, has dominating stuff, and plays on a great team. he really needs to keep the weight off though.

2. Freddy Garcia= Just 2 years ago had maybe best arm in AL, where did he go? Weak division and I think he rebounds for Ozzie.

3. Carpenter= prolly has the best stuff when healthy and plays on a great team

4. Zack Greinke= young, but Maddux like stuff, plays on a bad team.

5. Jeff Weaver= plays in a great pitchers park, eletric arm, needs to get head on straight.

6. Kevin Millwood= at one time top 5 pitcher in NL, pitching to fairly weak division, first time batters have seen him, plus has some young offensive talent behind him.

7. Kelvim Escobar= I don't really trust 2nd year SP, plays on a great team though

8. Jon Lieber= Achors Philly staff with a lot of offensive firepower, has always produced.

9. Kris Benson= never really taken advantage of talent, but stiill has talent on improved Met team and pitchers park. (plus, has a really hot wife:-)

10. Ted Lilly= All-Star last year, plays on a bad team, hard division, but good numbers

Shitney, I'd keep Greinke over Morris, much more value. KC does has a good farm system and will be a good future team I think. Morris is going to be starting the season on the DL. You can do better.

i'm not the biggest garcia fan.. but i can't remember him putting up numbers to ever warrant "beast arm in AL" .. but again .. i've never watched his number.. i know he had a lot of wins that one year..

5. Jeff Weaver= plays in a great pitchers park, eletric arm, needs to get head on straight.

been disappointed everyoen his whole career.. at this point i'd rather wait for his younger brother..

6. Kevin Millwood= at one time top 5 pitcher in NL, pitching to fairly weak division, first time batters have seen him, plus has some young offensive talent behind him.

agree completely..hard to guess results but good risk..

7. Kelvim Escobar= I don't really trust 2nd year SP, plays on a great team though

i may be wrong.. i tend to elaspe time in my head.. but i believe i kept escobar last season because i saw potential from him starting with toronto... he was a starter there, right? [no sarcasm intended.. i honestly am not sure..] I've had confidence in him for a while.. possibly unwarrented...

8. Jon Lieber= Achors Philly staff with a lot of offensive firepower, has always produced.

on a philly team whom i have personally witnessed self combust since i was born in 1980...

9. Kris Benson= never really taken advantage of talent, but stiill has talent on improved Met team and pitchers park. (plus, has a really hot wife:-)
if i drafted because of wives i'd still be drafting darren daulton

10. Ted Lilly= All-Star last year, plays on a bad team, hard division, but good numbers[/quote] HATE HIM!!!

Escobar was Tor closer when he was with them then converted to SP and signed with LAA as a free agent.
