I love my offense, do I have a shot? - WHIR

Just had my auction over the weekend. 5×5, 12 team keeper roto. Keep 10 players (+$1 year one, doubles every year after that). Mine are denoted with an *. Some caveats: hitter/pitcher split 54/46. Most closers went for a mimimum $15. Most top SPs/CLS kept. The big ones that were available (Bumgarner, Chapman and Strasburg) went over $40. Guys like McCullers went over $25, and I’m not paying more than $5 over my projections. $0 denotes reserve players. If we decide to keep them, they cost $3 next season. How did I do?

Thanks man

Love the offense!

For the prices the pitching could be real good but you do need a couple to out perform and a couple to at least stay the same.

If Paxton and Taillon do what I think and Lackey and Sanchez stay good/great, you have a great team especially for those prices

Agree with above. Hitters are good; however, the pitching staff is suspect IMO. Will need some of them to overperform.

So your offense is deep, but with 12 teams I'm wondering why this league is so deep. It seems like you guys really pulled out some far end guys.

I can't believe Adam Jones and Stanton had such a close bidding value. That's crazy to me. And there's a possible few keepers I would move around. Kinsler and Encarnacion are entirely too old IMO, someone like stanton/castellanos/taillon offers more value to me long term. But I also don't hate the idea of trading Stanton(I don't know if he climbs out of his .250 cellar) to lock yourself into a stud at SP, as I agree with the above, you're a tad suspect. But I think you have depth, so one top 10 guy could really square you away.

I mean depending on how guys pan out, regression/overplaying. But to me that is more the ebb and flow of a standard season. Just gotta stay on top of WW at this point. Which shouldn't be picked clean in a 12 team league, but it seems like you guys are pretty competitive.

You seem likely to lose steals category more often than winning it, and I agree with others on starting pitching (your relievers are fine). Maybe trade a power bat for steals and/or a pitching upgrade. Still seems like a competitive team to me.
