Correa or Turner in Dynasty

Postby Drebbin » Mon Mar 12, 2018 10:21 am

Where do people stand on Correa vs Turner in a Dynasty league? No salary cap and keep full rosters year to year. I may have a chance to get Correa in a deal where I would trade Turner...but the rest of the deal can probably be easier done without this piece. Not too worried about the rest of the deal, just wondered where people sit between these two for the long term. My view is that Correa is the better long-term play because he is less speed reliant, more power, better hitter, hence the reason I would like to include this piece.

Only because of his 60 SB.
Correa is a much better hitter.
In roto, Turner has more value.
IRL, i take Correa.

I agree with all of that. The SB are such a big deal. It is like having Billy Hamilton who can actually hit and play SS.
Correa is the much safer play but Turner could be a monster.

If roto, Turner.

If points or in real life, Correa.

This is fantasy and while it tries to model real life, no model is perfect. With SBs being in demand the way they are now, a 5 category player like Turner who puts up 50+ SBs is much more valuable than Correa. Nothing wrong with Correa, but you need 3 20 SB players to make up his SBs. He not only adds value himself, he allows you to not have to chase SBs in the draft.

I agree with the Turner side. Love Correa if he only stole 15-20 bases he would have been my choice. ;-D

Correa is the better player, but Turner has a shot at being really dynamic.

I'd make that gamble.
