Keepers Due Today!

Postby cubsfan61 » Thu Feb 28, 2019 2:25 pm

Trying to decide on last couple keepers. We keep 11, divided into a "top five" and "bottom six" depending on whether the player was drafted or picked up as a FA/brought up from minors.

Currently I'm keeping:

SP - Cole, Snell, Nola

1B - Rizzo

2B - Albies

OF - Marte, Cain, Rosario, Pham

I'm down to Votto, Murphy and Treinen. Closers go quick in this league, so I was thinking of keeping Treinen and Murphy (due to Coors and 1B/2B eligibility). Or should I keep the bats and wait on saves (or punt saves and pick up high quality middle relievers, since we use holds).

3rd post this week that has Cole & Nola on same roster
To me closers are going to be a record crapshoot this year, there are about 6 that are really rock solid with Treinan right at the top of that list. I'd hold Treinan well ahead of the other 2 and I'd have a tough time deciding on that last hitter

Votto is washed up. I won't draft him unless he is available in the last reserve round (he won't be, but i don't expect much from him).

Murphy's strength is moving to Coors. If he is healthy, he will have a good year. If he is in and out of the lineup, I worry.

I think I would go with Treinen and Murphy.

Please help with mine, need decision by tonight too.
