Keep 5-good options

5x5, just keep the best, no draft pick factors based on how gets kept. We keep only 5.

Mike Trout
Jose Ramirez
Charlie Blackmon
Paul Goldschmidt
Danny Santana
JT Realmuto
Walker Buehler
Stephen Strasburg
Lucas Giolito
Josh Hader
Blake Snell

Trout is a no brainer. Im pretty sure Buehler is, too. The rest are in the mix.

Mike Trout ;-D You are correct, a no brainer
Jose Ramirez ;-D There is a little consistency issue but the upside is too good to pass up
Charlie Blackmon :-t The stolen bases are gone for good and he will be 34 this year. You have better options.
Paul Goldschmidt :-t Good player but his best days are over. Average has been dropping every year.
Danny Santana :-t The guy has had 2 good years and 4 bad ones for his career.
JT Realmuto ;-D The top catcher out there
Walker Buehler ;-D Young and ascending. Just what you want
Stephen Strasburg I would love him in a redraft league but too many injury concerns to be a keeper.
Lucas Giolito ;-D I could easily go with Snell as my 5th but I give Giolito a slight edge.
Josh Hader If you are only able to keep 5, you don't want one of them to be a reliever. Not even Hader
Blake Snell For me it is almost a coin flip with Giolito. Heads, Giolito wins the flip because Snell struggled some last year.

Trout is a no brainer. Im pretty sure Buehler is, too. The rest are in the mix.

For me, I go in a slightly different direction. My 5 would be:

1) Trout
2) Blackmon (high average, good pop, which is a nice combo)
3) JT Realmuto (best catcher, big advantage at a bad position)
4) Walker Buehler (for reasons already stated)
5) Strasburg (yes injury concerns always exist for him and any pitcher, but better option than all of the rest)

Looking at ATC & The Bat on Fangraphs, I’d go with:
Trout
Buehler
(Big dropoff)
Hader
JT
Jose
